Ed Johnson
Ed retired as Chairman and Chief Financial Officer of the Shell Group of Companies in New Zealand at the end of January 2002 after a twenty plus year career with Shell Group both here in New Zealand and in the UK.
Ed currently has board level responsibilities in many private companies involved in many sectors.
His governance portfolio post-Shell currently includes being Chairman of Fulton Hogan Ltd, Chairman of Goldpine Industries Ltd, along with Directorships including the Bank of New Zealand (and Chairman of the bank’s Risk Committee), Port Otago Ltd, National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research (NIWA), and MDC Holdings Ltd.
Ed holds a BA (Hons) in Finance and Accounting and an MBA (Hons).
Ed is married to Dianne, has two sons, and from 2002 has been permanently based at Stone Farm in Marlborough. Ed enjoys sailing, boating, hunting, fishing (both fly and saltwater), when not tending olives and apricots.
